TLILIC0003 ​Licence to Operate a forklift Truck 

Tom Price and Sons conduct TLILIC0003 Licence to Operate Forklift Truck training and assessment on site or at our premises.

A forklift truck, can be defined as a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of forkarms. 

OBJECTIVE

AIMS:
To provide participants with the knowledge and understanding to operate these machines safely and with confidence. By the end of this course the participants should be able to:
  • Conduct pre-start and pre-operational checks.
  • Recognise danger areas.
  • Operate the Forklift Truck efficiently and safely through all areas of design use.

PRE REQUISITE: 
Necessary minimum age of 18 years and above.
Ability to speak and write English to a basic level and mid level mathematics is required. 


DURATION: 
1 Day - Maximum of 4 people (experienced personnel)
2 Days - Maximum of 6 people (no experience required) *No public courses currently being offered at the present time*  

EXPECTED MODES OF DELIVERY: 
This course is delivered face to face by our qualified Trainers/Assessors. Training can be conducted at our Training facility or we can come to your premises or onsite. This course is skill based and will cover all aspects of the machinery being trained in both written using course notes/dvd’s and case studies combined with practical components. RPL is also available upon request. Please speak to our admin team to see if you qualify.

ASSESSMENT:
A variety of assessments including knowledge, calculation and practical demonstration will be conducted throughout the duration of the course. 

CERTIFICATION:
Upon successful completion of the course components, receipt of payment and a valid USI, a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to your nominated email address. 

You will also be issued with a Notice of Assessment (NOA). This is your interim licence from WorkSafe WA which will be valid for 60 days. Within the 60 days Tom Price and Sons will lodge your licence application to WorkSafe WA for them to issue your high risk licence. WorkSafe WA will post your high risk licence to your address.

  • Safety videos
  • Operating procedures
  • Stacking and De-stacking
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Park up procedures
  • Driving on inclines.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR FORKLIFT COURSES: 
Forklift will be required for use for 4hrs during the 1 day course. 

*If you have the minimum numbers to run a 2 day course of non-experienced personnel, please enquire with our office for availability. 

Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant, which is issued by WorkSafe WA. ​
