RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaceS
Tom Price and Sons conduct RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces training and assessment on site and at our premises.
In Australia hundreds of people enter a confined space every day and some of them never make it out alive. It is the right of every worker to go home at the end of the working day uninjured. Most fatalities and injuries occur because most employees are unaware of the hazards associated with working in a confined space and are not properly trained or equipped to handle the hazardous situations. For a person to work safely and efficiently in confined spaces formal training is essential.
OBJECTIVE:This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries. It applies to those working in operational roles. They generally work under supervision to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and take responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.
