CPCCLDG3001 Licence to Perform Dogging
Tom Price and Sons conduct CPCCLDG3001 Licence to Perform Dogging training and assessment on site or at our premises.
OBJECTIVE: This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to safely perform dogging work. Dogging consists of the application of slinging techniques to move a load, including the selection and inspection of lifting gear, and the directing of a plant operator in the movement of a load when the load is out of sight of the operator. Dogging work is conducted in the construction industry and other industries where loads are lifted and moved using cranes or hoists.
The aim is to provide participants with the knowledge and understanding to perform work as a dogger with confidence. By the end of this course the participants should be able to:
PRE REQUISITES:
Necessary minimum age of 18 years and above.
Ability to speak and write English to a basic level and mid level mathematics is required.

5 Days
EXPECTED MODES OF DELIVERY:
This course is delivered face to face by our qualified Trainers/Assessors. Training can be conducted at our Training facility or we can come to your business/work site. This course is skill based and will cover all aspects of the machinery being trained in both written using course notes/dvd’s and case studies combined with practical components. RPL via an assessment only pathway is also available upon request. Please contact to our administration team to see if you qualify.
ASSESSMENT:
A variety of assessments including knowledge, calculation and practical demonstration will be conducted throughout the duration of the course.
CERTIFICATION:
Upon successful completion of the course components, receipt of payment and a valid USI, a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to your nominated email address.
You will also be issued with a Notice of Assessment (NOA). This is your interim licence from WorkSafe WA which will be valid for 60 days. Within the 60 days Tom Price and Sons will lodge your licence application to WorkSafe WA for them to issue your high risk licence. WorkSafe WA will post your high risk licence to your address.

- Use sling calculations
- Use whistle and hand signals to direct cranes
- Tie and use knots
