For courses conducted by Tom Price and Sons, a basic Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) check will be offered to all students at enrolment into course, for the purpose of identifying special learning needs.
We ask that you please make your Trainer/Assessor aware of any LLN concerns you might have prior to commencement of your training, in order to ensure that adjustments to the methods of learning delivery and/or to the assessment process can be made, so that you are supported and have a reasonable chance of success in your training.
LLN skills may include but not limited to, verbal communication skills to communicate with others in the workplace, literacy skills to read and interpret workplace documents, writing skills to prepare simple reports and complete maintenance records, and numeracy skills to perform calculations and interpret numerical information.
Specific requirements for each course are available on the course information pages here. We have prepared below a number of short LLN test to prepare yourself for what to expect when enrolling in one of our courses.
Additionally, we have linked some free online quizzes here which can be used to prepare you for what LLN expectations might be for your specific industry.
