RIIHAN305D Operate a gantry or overhead crane
Tom Price and Sons conduct RIIHAN305D Operate a Gantry or Overhead Crane training and assessment onsite at your premises.
It is important for an operator of an Overhead Crane to operate it in the manner for which it was intended. Failing to do this is violating Duty of Care. The operator has a duty to operate the equipment as it was intended to prevent damage to the equipment, report damage and to prevent endangering the worker and his workmates.
OBJECTIVE:
The aim of the course is to provide the participants with the knowledge and understanding to operate an Overhead Crane the correct way.
By the end of this course the participants should be able to demonstrate:
PRE REQUISITES:
Necessary minimum age of 18 years and above.
Ability to speak and write English to a basic level and mid level mathematics is required.
ESTIMATED DURATION:
8 Hours - Maximum of 10 people.
EXPECTED MODES OF DELIVERY:
This course is delivered face to face by our qualified Trainers/Assessors. Training can be conducted at our Training facility (where applicable) or we can come to your business/Mine site. This course is skill based and will cover all aspects of the machinery being trained in both written using course notes/dvd’s and case studies combined with practical components. RPL is also available upon request. Please speak to our admin team to see if you qualify.
ASSESSMENT:
A variety of assessments including knowledge, calculation and practical demonstration will be conducted throughout the duration of the course.
CERTIFICATION:
Upon successful completion of the course components, receipt of payment and a valid USI, a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to your nominated email address.
