TLILIC0003 Licence to operate a forklift truck
INTRODUCTION:
Many Forklift Truck Operators have gained their experience by "having a go" and have never had any formal training. For a person to carry out their job operating a machine safely, they really do need formalised training. Current WA legislation stipulates that anyone operating a forklift truck must have a Nationally Accredited / High Risk ticket.
AIMS:
To provide participants with the knowledge and understanding to operate these machines safely and with confidence. By the end of this course the participants should be able to:
PRE REQUISITE:
Necessary minimum age of 18 years. Ability to speak and write English to a basic level and mid level mathematics is required. For more information contact TPS for details.
DURATION:
1 Day - Maximum of 4 people (no experience necessary)
2 Days - Maximum of 8 people.
EXPECTED MODES OF DELIVERY:
This course is delivered face to face by our qualified Trainers/Assessors. Training can be conducted at our Training facility or we can come to your premises or onsite. This course is skill based and will cover all aspects of the machinery being trained in both written using course notes/dvd’s and case studies combined with practical components. RPL is also available upon request. Please speak to our admin team to see if you qualify.
ASSESSMENT:
On completion of training and revision, participants will be required to demonstrate their practical skills. They will also be required to complete a written assessment. Individuals who wish can be assessed for a WorkSafe "National Certificate of Competency" and a statement of attainment .
