CRANES AND HOISTS

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Individuals who wish to be assessed for a Statement of Attainment and apply for a WorkSafe High Risk Work Licence, and wish to work as a crane operator in a variety of industries and situations.
Estimated Duration:
Slewing and non slewing cranes 5 days (depending on site and enrolments)
Vehicle Loading and Bridge and Gantry Crane 2-3 days (depending on site and enrolments)
PRE REQUISITES:
Necessary minimum age of 18 years. Ability to speak and write English to a basic level and mid level mathematics. Have the level of health and fitness required to safely use or operate a crane. TPS has requirements in place for candidates wanting to be assessed for C6 - CO Licences, please enquire with administration for further information.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:
Systems are in place for recognition of prior training and experience. For more information contact TPS regarding eligibility.
COURSE CONTENT:
At the end of the course participants will be able to -
EXPECTED MODES OF DELIVERY:
These courses are delivered face to face by our qualified Trainers/Assessors. Training can be conducted at our Training facility (where applicable) or we can come to your business/Mine site. This course is skill based and will cover all aspects of the machinery being trained in both written using course notes / DVD’s and case studies combined with practical components. RPL is also available upon request. Please speak to our admin team to see if you qualify.
ASSESSMENT:
Assessments will be conducted during and at the end of the course. A 60-day interim certificate will be issued to persons assessed as being competent. WorkSafe W.A. will issue a High Risk Work Licence on receipt of the 60-Day Certificate.

- TLILIC0022 Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes)
- TLILIC0023 Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes)
- TLILIC0021 Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 100 tonnes)
- TLILIC0020 Licence to operate a slewing mobile Crane (over 100 tonnes)
- TLILIC0024 Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and above)
- TLILIC0016 Licence to operate a bridge and gantry crane
